Hello, my name is Niki Kalogera, and I am a relationship manager.
I mainly serve international Wealth Management clients in France, who have their permanent residence outside the country, so for example in the UK, the US, China, Brazil, Belgium or Italy.
In France, BNP Paribas Wealth Management was named the Best Private Bank in 2024 by the Global Private Banker.
Furthermore, on a daily basis, we are proud of the expertise and high-level service we provide to our resident and non-resident clients.
My story is about an Ultra High Net Worth client whom I will refer to as Mr Paradise for anonymity reasons.
Mr Paradise is a well-known entrepreneur, and co-owns a European luxury hotel group.
What were the client’s expectations?
When we met Mr Paradise, he had sophisticated needs, with "professional investor" status, and already had several banking partners for managing his wealth.

How did you onboard this client?
Mr Paradise had a specific mortgage project during the Covid-19 pandemic. He wanted to transfer his mortgage loan on a property in Paris of approximately €10 million from a Swiss bank to a French bank.
We gained this client’s trust due to our ability to mobilise, in a short period of time, various experts from BNP Paribas Wealth Management and across the Group, including a credit specialist, an investment advisor, the Discretionary Portfolio Management or DPM team, a wealth planner, experts from BNP Paribas Real Estate and from BNP Paribas Cardif, our insurance arm.
In a word, we provided the client with relevant expertise, and top-notch advice in a short space of time, In the end, this was the reason why he chose BNP Paribas as his main bank.
What services did you offer?
Firstly, we structured, within a tight deadline, a mortgage facility to meet his family’s financing needs.
We coordinated meetings with our credit specialist and wealth planner and the client’s own advisors. Secondly, we signed a DPM mandate based on the client’s risk appetite and investment goals, and serving as an additional guarantee for the mortgage.
Thirdly, we designed tailor-made advisory portfolios for him with our financial experts, and we built a bond portfolio and an equity portfolio in various currencies.
In addition, we designed structured products specifically for Mr Paradise in euros and dollars, further demonstrating our deep knowledge of the financial markets. Our efforts certainly paid off, and the result was a very rewarding cooperation with the client who then accelerated the number of transactions and loans.
What’s more, the business relationship promises to be long term.
